WHAT THE PUBLIC SITE STORES
The public site uses browser local storage to remember your cookie/analytics choice. The current v3 consent record stores whether essential storage is enabled, whether analytics was allowed, a schema version and the time the choice was saved. The earlier GA4-only v2 decision is not reused because the Analytics category now also includes The 911 Grind first-party analytics. The preference expires after approximately 180 days and is then requested again.
FIRST-PARTY ANALYTICS STORAGE
If you allow Analytics, The 911 Grind creates two first-party local-storage records used by its own analytics system: the911grind_analytics_visitor_v1 for a random visitor identifier and the911grind_analytics_session_v1 for a random session identifier, session timing and first-touch attribution such as landing page, referral origin and UTM parameters. A session expires after approximately 30 minutes of inactivity.
The first-party tracker only sends events while Analytics is allowed. If you reject optional analytics or later switch Analytics off, those first-party analytics identifiers are removed from browser storage and no further first-party analytics events are sent. Existing server-side analytics records are retained for up to approximately 13 months. The first-party analytics database does not store raw IP addresses.
GOOGLE ANALYTICS 4 & CONSENT MODE
The public site uses Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-Z8B6PMMD8Z) with Google Consent Mode v2 in its advanced configuration. Before any analytics choice is made, analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization are set to denied. The Google tag can still send limited cookieless measurement while storage is denied; analytics cookies are not allowed by our consent state at that point.
If you allow Analytics, only analytics_storage changes to granted. Advertising storage, advertising user-data sharing and advertising personalisation remain denied in this release. Google Analytics may then use first-party analytics identifiers/cookies such as _ga and related GA4 identifiers to measure visits and usage. The 911 Grind does not use Google Ads or remarketing in this release.
ESSENTIAL / ADMIN SESSION
The protected Admin area uses a secure server session cookie for authenticated administrators. It is not an advertising cookie and is not part of the normal public browsing experience.
NEWSLETTER & COMMISSION FORMS
Submitting the newsletter or commission form sends the information you enter to The 911 Grind backend. Newsletter delivery and signed unsubscribe links are server-side functions and do not require advertising or analytics cookies. Those submissions and delivery records are data processing, but they are not created by the cookie-preference mechanism. See the Privacy Policy for details.
YOUR CHOICE
You can allow Analytics, reject optional analytics or change the choice later. The same Analytics choice controls both The 911 Grind first-party analytics and Google Analytics storage consent. On the main site use COOKIE SETTINGS in the footer; on the Coming Soon page use its COOKIE SETTINGS control. The choice is stored in first-party local storage for approximately 180 days. Clearing site storage in your browser also removes the saved choice.
GOOGLE AS A SERVICE PROVIDER
Google receives measurement and consent signals generated by the Google tag. Information sent may include page and browser/device information, referral information, timestamps and consent state. When analytics storage is denied, Consent Mode is configured to limit storage and use cookieless measurement. Google’s privacy information is available at policies.google.com/privacy and at How Google uses information from sites or apps.
THIRD-PARTY LINKS
Links to social media, Suno, coffee/support or other external websites take you to services controlled by their respective operators. Their own privacy and cookie rules apply after you leave The 911 Grind.
